Introducing The Holon Institute

If you’ve been following my work for the past few years you’ve likely heard me talk about the uniqueness of this time period that we are in right now as a species.

I’ve spoken about the multiple different overlapping and converging ecological, social, political, and systemic crises that are causing an unprecedented level of uncertainty about our future on this planet.

I believe the multiplicity of crises points to the fact that an old story is dying and in this death we are collectively being invited into a new one. Systems are reflections of our stories and many of our current systems are a reflection of a story about the world that says we are separate, individual, and that we must exploit and dominate in order to have security.

I’ve been passionate about systems change since I’ve been a teenager. Thinking about systems has always driven me - how we shape them and how they shape us. It’s why I studied political science in college and I am passionate about teaching and using the Spiral Dynamics framework to understand the current complexities of reality more deeply.

I see purpose as an emergent phenomenon that is birthed from your core gifts and the particularities of the world in the time that you inhabit it.

For the past few years I’ve been living with a series of questions: How do I respond to the times we live in? What is asking to emerge? What can I create that will help facilitate the cultural transition into new stories and new ontologies that can shape systems in service of everyone and the planet?

From this living inquiry The Holon Institute was born.

The Holon Institute is a nonprofit organization that exists to co-create cultural, social, and ecological conditions that actualize the omnipotential of human creativity.

I’m excited to be sharing more over the coming months about The Holon Institute and the work it is doing in the world. For now you can sign up for The Holon Institute newsletter here to get the latest in emergent possibility at intersection of soul, soil, and society.
